Composite safety toe caps provide the same protection as steel, but are non-metallic, corrosion resistant, transmit less cold and weigh less. Constructed or manufactured with electric shock-resisting soles and heels capable of withstanding an application of 18,000 volts (root mean square (RMS) value) at 60 Hz for 1 minute with no current flow or leakage current in excess of 1.0 milliamperes under dry conditions.

Waterproof, breathable membrane keeps feet dry while instantly venting moisture and body heat. Thorogood BBP X-Stream Waterproof and Stedair linings are bloodborne pathogen penetration compliant, for at least one hour when tested according to ASTM F 1671, Standard Test Method for Resistance of Materials used in Protective Clothing.

It is demonstrating a renewed commitment to upgrading and improving domestic facilities, machines, equipment, manufacturing methods and computer systems/programs. 2022: Weinbrenner celebrates 130 years as a company. with the opening of a new factory in Merrill, WI and the launch of the first western wear product, Thorogood's Square Toe Wellingtons. 2023: Sales continue to increase as Thorogood gains popularity and expands with many new styles on the horizon.
