Thorogood's Deuce series safety toe boots are designed to provide durable and comfortable protection for workers in high-intensity jobs. These boots are crafted from full-grain leather and feature a 400g air mesh and side-zip construction, making them lightweight and flexible while still being tough enough to handle demanding tasks.
Manufactured in the USA, the Deuce series boots are equipped with a composite safety toe that meets ASTM F2413-18 safety standards, protecting your feet from on-site impact and compression hazards. The dual-density Z-Trac ASR outsole is designed for flexibility and traction, keeping you stable on flat, slick surfaces and meeting ASTM F2913-11 and F1677-05 slip test standards.
These non-metallic athletic work boots also offer electrical hazard resistance, meeting ASTM F2413-18 EH resistance test standards. The removable single-density comfort insole, made with strategic concentrations of polyurethane under the heel and ball strike zones, absorbs impacts and wicks away moisture, providing all-day comfort.
The composite shank construction gives the Deuce 6-inch side-zip safety toe tactical boots (804-6190) the flex and strength to maintain their shape under heavy duress, making them ideal for law enforcement, security personnel, EMS/EMT, firefighters, and anyone else with a high-intensity job requiring comfortable safety toe protection.
Thorogood's heritage dates back to 1892, when Albert H. Weinbrenner, at the age of 27, opened a cobblery in Milwaukee with partner Joseph Peffer, serving the "Jobbing" trades. The company has since grown, introducing the "Job-fitted" concept in 1917 and becoming a major contributor of boots to the U.S. Army during World War I.
In the 1930s, Thorogood took its first steps into safety footwear production, and during World War II, the company converted to all-military footwear, producing combat and dress styles. The Official Boy Scout Boot, the Hike n' Camp, was introduced in 1964 and became the company's best-selling boot of all time.
Over the years, Thorogood has continued to innovate and evolve, including the introduction of the "ThoroGard" high-tech occupational safety footwear division in 1988. In 2000, the company's employees took ownership through an ESOP, and in 2014, the 1892 Heritage line of handcrafted, lifestyle boots was introduced.
Today, Thorogood celebrates 130 years in business, with a renewed commitment to upgrading and improving its domestic facilities, machines, equipment, manufacturing methods, and computer systems. The brand continues to gain popularity, with many new styles on the horizon, including the recent launch of the first western wear product, Thorogood's Square Toe Wellingtons.
