The skilled craftsmen and women at Thorogood's US plants have AMERICAN MADE these STEEL TOE BOOTS FOR MEN with USA and globally sourced components. These safety toe boots protect your feet from on-site impact and compression hazards while the design keeps them light and flexible, making American Heritage some of the best safety toe boots for men with dangerous jobs. Meets ASTM F2413-18 safety toe standards.
The DURABLE FULL-GRAIN LEATHER BOOTS in Thorogood's moc toe work boot design are both comfortable and hold up to punishing jobs. Available in Tobacco (804-4208), Trail Crazyhorse (804-4478), and Midnight Black (804-6208), these boots are MADE IN THE USA.
The MAXWEAR WEDGE™ TRACTION OUTSOLE flexes better than other work boot outsoles, absorbing impacts and protecting your feet and ankles while working on difficult surfaces, keeping you on your feet on loose gravel and wet and oily surfaces. This outsole meets ASTM F3445-21 slip-resistance standards.
The REMOVABLE ULTIMATE SHOCK ABSORPTION FOOTBED uses dual-density polyurethane concentrated under the heel and ball strike zone to absorb impacts and wick away moisture, making these some of the most comfortable mens work boots out there.
These MAXWear Wedge work boots also meet ASTM F2413-18 electrical hazard resistance safety standards, providing EH RESISTANCE.
Thorogood's history dates back to 1892 when Albert H. Weinbrenner, at the age of 27, opened a cobblery in Milwaukee with partner Joseph Peffer, serving the "Jobbing" trades. In 1900, the Albert H. Weinbrenner Co. was formed, and the company printed its first catalog in 1916, having more leather cutting machines than any other in the U.S.
In 1917, the "Job-fitted" concept was introduced, and Weinbrenner was a major contributor of boots to the U.S. Army in WWI. The company took its first steps into safety footwear production in 1938 and celebrated 50 years in business in 1942, converting to all-military footwear for the duration of WWII.
The Official Boy Scout Boot, the Hike n' Camp, was introduced in 1964 with a wedge sole and moccasin-style stitching, becoming the company's best-selling boot of all time and still available in its original design today.
The company was purchased by a local group including six employees in 1988, and the "ThoroGard" division was created, featuring high-tech occupational safety footwear. In 2000, Weinbrenner employees took ownership of the company through an ESOP.
Weinbrenner has a long history of supporting its community, donating 300 pairs of durable work boots to Ground Zero within three days of the September 11 terror attacks, with another 200 pairs following.
The 1892 Heritage line of handcrafted, lifestyle boots was introduced in 2014, built on the iconic No. 60 last. Weinbrenner celebrated its 125th Anniversary in 2017, demonstrating a renewed commitment to upgrading and improving domestic facilities, machines, equipment, manufacturing methods, and computer systems/programs.
In 2022, Weinbrenner celebrated 130 years as a company, with the opening of a new factory in Merrill, WI and the launch of the first western wear product, Thorogood's Square Toe Wellingtons. Sales continue to increase as Thorogood gains popularity, with many new styles on the horizon.
