Thorogood's 6-inch, quick release, soft toe chelsea style DURABLE FULL-GRAIN BLACK LEATHER BOOTS are lightweight and certified ASTM F2413-18 puncture-resistant slip on boots for men and women. Made in the USA or Imported, these boots feature a THORO-FLEX TRACTION OUTSOLE designed for flexibility and traction, with work boot TPU mini lugs to keep you on your feet on flat, slick surfaces. The translucent bottom provides a scuff-free work experience and meets ASTM F2913 Slip Test Standards.

These non-metallic work shoes provide ELECTRICAL HAZARD RESISTANCE, meeting ASTM 2892-18 EH Resistance Test Standards to keep your feet protected. The REMOVABLE SINGLE-DENSITY COMFORT INSOLE is made with strategic concentrations of polyurethane under the heel and ball strike zones, absorbing impacts and wicking away moisture. Thorogood's history dates back to 1892, when 27-year-old Albert H. Weinbrenner opened a cobblery in Milwaukee with partner Joseph Peffer, serving "Jobbing" trades. The company expanded over the decades, introducing the "Job-fitted" concept in 1917 and becoming a major contributor of boots to the U.S. Army in World War I.

In 1938, the company took its first steps into safety footwear production. During World War II, it converted to all-military footwear, producing combat and dress styles that also became popular with civilians. The company's workers organized under the International Boot & Shoe Workers Union in 1943, maintaining an outstanding relationship with management.

Thorogood's iconic Hike n' Camp boot, introduced in 1964, became the company's best-selling boot of all time. In 1988, the company was purchased by a local group including six employees, and the "ThoroGard" division was created, featuring high-tech occupational safety footwear.

In 2000, Weinbrenner employees took ownership of the company through an ESOP. The company has continued to evolve, introducing the 1892 Heritage line of handcrafted, lifestyle boots in 2014 and celebrating its 125th anniversary in 2017. Today, Thorogood continues to gain popularity, with the opening of a new factory in Merrill, WI and the launch of its first western wear product, the Square Toe Wellingtons, in 2022.
